This is an extremely courageous thing to do. I'm so glad you put this up, because every time somebody considered a freak says they're proud of who they are, society improves just a little bit. I'm not going through the same experiences as you, but I can certainly relate to this.

On a side note, it's interesting that somebody said this doesn't count as a game and you need to "invent a new genre". That genre already exists and it's called Art Games, which is the category you put this into.

Also, there are people who say this doesn't belong on Newgrounds and would be more popular somewhere else. I disagree, and the fact this is on the front page proves how open-minded and accepting the people of Newgrounds can be. Sure, we have some assholes, but every internet community does.

Once again, thank you for creating such a bold piece of art. It was a tiny bit clichéd in places, but that wasn't really a problem. I look forward to seeing more from you in future.

Woah...

I can't think of anything I didn't like about this game: the graphics were amazing; the gameplay was original and fun; and the music was dramatic and fitted the game well. I especially liked the way you showed the change in time, in fact it was so effective, I don't think you needed the dates popping up on screen to tell you when it was.

I liked the way you stylized the different time periods (E.g. the Da Vinci type helicopters earlier in the game and the steam powered flying machines in the Victorian part) it meant you could have a wide variety of enemies, without any of them looking out of place.

One small flaw (which doesn't really detract from the gameplay at all) is the combo system, it gives you the ability to pay money to make custom arrows, but you can do the same thing for free by clicking on two different arrows during the game.

Overall, this is another great game, and it is certainly up to the standards of your previous work, despite being very different indeed.

P.S. Any game where you can turn your enemies into glowing purple dinosaurs is a masterpiece in my book.

Good graphics, bad game...

The graphics are absolutely amazing in this game (what else would we expect from you) and this clearly has the potential to be a great game. I liked your interpretation of the Tankmen character, and the 3d effect was good.

However, the "dynamic" camera movement was both annoying and made the game difficult to play, half of the time the player didn't even seem to be on the screen, and it moved about far to quickly to be any help in locating the enemies. Also, the enemy AI is terrible, the flying enemies take absolutely no notice of the terrain around them, and they frequently flew below me, so they couldn't shoot me, and I couldn't shoot them.

The thing that annoyed me most though, was the fact this had ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with Tankmen (apart from having one of the characters in it) there was no story, no cutscenes and none of the humour that Tankmen is famous for. It was just a standard shooter game (and a bad one at that) with Tankmen stamped on top of it.

Good grief, IT'S YOU?!?

I had no idea that Aardman Animations had anything to do with Newgrounds at all. Anyway, it's a nice game and it fits in perfectly with the style of the films (which are all great). I hope to see more things made by you on here and I can't wait to see the new Christmas film.

Most of us here in the online dept. have personal NG accounts, because we're all avid gamers - but this was our first "official" release, and it's been great fun!

Needs improvment...

The way the words appeared in white boxes kind of spoiled the flow of the story. You can make it into one text box using actionscript, PM me if you want me to tell you how.

Nice concept.

I like the idea of being able to customise a picture of yourself using webcam, but it does not have may features and it is not very entertaining. I would reccomend a feature that allows you to take a still picture with the webcam, so you do not have to stay in one position while adding accessories. I would also reccomend some form of instructions to make it clear that you need a webcam and you must allow flash to access it.

FireSketch responds:

Cheers man, I'm fiddling with the concept of saving. Maybe I should release a CS10 sometime ;)
I'll add instructions now, cheers : D

I know why it doesn't work.

This is a mod of madness interactive, the file would have worked on the computer it was made on, but the sounds for it are stored in a separate file which could not be uploaded. So the file constantly tries to load the sounds but can't. This makes it not work. I give it an 8 because I know the person who made this and he put a lot of effort into it. I may be able to help him fix the problem and he can upload it again in a working state.

I like it...

...But you didn't make all of the illusions, I doubt you actualy drew any of them. I gave you a 3 for finding them all and compiling them into a flash, but not all of it is your work.

Randomness rules. Sanity sucks. Awesomenessnessness is... AWSOME!!! (Duh!)
